SAM KHUMALO
As the backdrop of the Johannesburg skyline watched in awe, Sam carved out a place for himself as one of the top skateboarders in the country. Roaming the concrete jungle like a lion on the hunt for its prey, Sam and his group of board buddies explore every pavement, every open rail and every back ally looking for their next adventure. "The art of skateboarding is something so pure, so expressive and so customised to who you are as an individual, no two styles are the same. On any day, whether I am feeling happy or sad, I can go out on my board and show people who I am, and this is what is important to me" explains Sam with a hint of a grin on his face. ROZANNE WHYTE
Stories of life are passed down through generations around camp fires, primitive cave drawings or whispered on the winds of time. For Rozanne however, her story is told through the clothes that she creates, as the owner and designer of her own label, each collection is an expression of who she is and how she sees the world at a given time. Her journey began as a young girl when her grandmother gave her her first sewing machine. From that moment on, Rozanne has disappeared into her life long dream of creating original pieces that not only explore her vision of the world, but also inspire others to follow their dreams.follow the rest of the stories in the BE campaign : http://benow.coza or visit www.tag8.coza
